Synopsis
BABAR KING OF THE ELEPHANTS is an animated series based on the Laurent de Brunhoff tale about a baby elephant who loses his mother to hunters but grows up to be King of the Elephants. Babar and his Queen, Celeste, build a beautiful new city where the elephants live a peaceful and fulfilled existence.

BABAR King of Elephants DVD
Have consigned this to the bin. Wouldn't have bought it for 2 year old (or even older) had I known how dark some of it was. Involves death of mother, war, bad dreams etc. American production with ridiculous sentimental songs.

My children just love this
My two year old son can't get enough of this film, despite it's long length, and my four year old daughter has only recently bored of it. It is quite charming, despite being an americanised version of the original. It also has some lovely music. I would highly recommend it.

Babar King of the elephants
I have 2 children aged 20 mths and nearly 4 who like Babar, however i would say that this d v d is perhaps more suitable for slightly older children,as they were bored long before the end,.. as this is in feature length format.

My oldest child also found the death of Babar's mother upsetting.
A nice option for older children.
