Customer Reviews
musicianship ++
three amazingly accomplished musicians managing to pull it alltogether on this album. If you like the album you must see them live, if only for Cormacs' mastery of the bodhran. Anna is an up and coming "fiddle" player with an instinctive feel for the instrument. Tie all the talent up with input and guidance from the great Kev Dempsey and you have a mind blowing trio. I think the BBC folk award is just the beginning
Another superb album!
Tunes for dancing, heartbreak, singing along to and easy listening, by mixing traditional folk sounds with modern styles, I'd definately recommend this album to any one who loves music.
I couldn't choose a favourite track because they are all great, but I did love hearing the tradiotnal tune 'The Butterfly' in track number eight, Not the Hurricane. Brilliant.
When's the next album?
Uiscedwr Circle
Wow, if you thought the first album was good this one is a must!. The musical genius of Anna, Cormac and Kevin shines through on this cleverly crafted mix of folk, jazz and "world" rhythms. With the addition of Kevin on guitar Uiscedwr have rocketed to the top of the "new" folk order. Anna's voice sounds stronger and sweeter than ever and Cormac Byrne has to be the best Bodhran player on the planet. I'll pick you out the best tracks:
All of them ! buy it now, you won't regret it.
