Customer Reviews

If you take one book with you, take this one5
Having spent several weeks in the last two years travelling in Galapagos,I have bought and seen numerous guide books. This book stands out, combining the "best of the rest" in terms of history/background/climate/geology of the islands with a comprehensive field guide. The photos are informative and of the highest quality, the writing concise yet sufficiently detailed, and the section on the plants and trees is unique amongst the books I have come across. The visitor site maps are easy to read, attractive to look at and extremely useful. If you buy/take along with you only one book,I would make it this one!

A great reference, clear, concise, and colourful5
I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who wishes to find out more about the amazingly diverse range of wildlife and plantlife on the Galapagos. The book is small enough to carry around comfortably (it won't take up too much space in your pack!), and is packed full of bright, clear illustrations and detailed descriptions of just about everything that lives and breathes on this incredible archipelago. Congratualtions to the Fitter family for another great addition to their collection.
