Review
"Simply the best guide to investing in a second home..."
From the Author
My husband and I first ventured into the holiday let market approximately eighteen months ago when we purchased a harbour side cottage in Cumbria. The search for the property itself, although enjoyable, was at times daunting. We put a lot of hard work into preparing the property and sourcing the right agent to use to market it. As a result we not only have many advanced bookings we also have a visitor's book full of positive comments from very happy holiday makers.
There are however pitfalls to watch out for when buying, preparing and marketing a property to let as a holiday home and this book will help to guide you through these potential hazards and help you to focus on your aim - to make money from your investment and keep your customers happy and wanting to return again and again.

Customer Reviews
superb info
This book is full of superb info on everything you need to know on a practical level.
Excellent book but beware the tax situation
This is an excellent book with lots of detailed information and helpful advice but the tax information appears to be somewhat out of date. Apparently the holiday let tax situation is due for a substantial change in April 2010, undermining the economics of running a holiday let business and potentially the value of holiday cottages.
Helpful advice
Informative as a starter reference book for anyone contemplating a new holiday let business, a little basic needs more detail. I found the advice helpful and the style very easy to read but more information would have been useful
