Customer Reviews
Excellent Introduction to Stock Trading
I have found this book to be very informative.
The advice given in this book is very sound and solid and not one of these "Get rich quick on the stock market" types of books.
The principles are described in a very easy to understand manner and makes for very easy reading.
The book is more applicable to someone wanting to trade on the American markets but is also adaptable to foreign markets.
Of good stock
Ignoring the "Dummies" in the title, why I'd recommend this stock investing book is:
- It is informative. Not being an expert or time-rich myself, I obtained enough information from this to at least allow me to gain an understanding of the stock market fundamentals.
- The author's style is clear, to the point & yet dare I say it rather funny. Mr. Mladjenovic explains his subject matter well, in a manner that is understandable and uses analogies that quickly grasped "small cap. companies as growing trees" etc
- For the 3rd Edition, it goes into the hows and whys the 2008/9 economic meltdown had occurred, and offers suggestions on how to weather the storm.
As the author mentioned, there are no quick financial fixes outside winning the lottery, but this book should allow the casual novice investor to dip her toe in the market.
BUY BUY BUY!
Excellent guide. Would recommend a 1000 times. Even just a reference its amazing! The jokes are awful as usual but I wouldnt expect anything less. Very impressed!!!
