Editorial Reviews
Amazon.co.uk Review
Bad Boys II fulfils every audience expectation and then some: no-one goes to a movie directed by Michael Bay for delicacy and grace; you go because Bay (Armageddon, The Rock) knows how to make your bones rattle during a high-speed chase when a car flips over, spins through the air and smacks another car with a visceral crunch. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence may be mere puppets amid all this burning rubber and shrieking metal, but they actually provide a human core to the endless cascade of car wrecks and gunfights. Their easy rapport makes their personal problems--a running joke is Lawrence's attempts at anger management--as engaging as the sheer visual hullabaloo of bullets and explosions. The plot is recycled nonsense about drug lords and dead bodies being used to smuggle drugs, but the orchestration of violence is symphonic. If that's your thing, then this is for you. --Bret Fetzer
DVD Description
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back – and oh so bad – on the streets of Miami in Bad Boys 2, reuniting them with producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Michael Bay. Narcotics detectives Mike Lowrey (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) have been assigned to a high-tech task force investigating the flow of designer ecstasy into Miami. Their inquiries inadvertently lead them to a major conspiracy involving a vicious kingpin (Jordi Molla), whose ambitions to take over the city’s drug trade have ignited a bloody turf war. But Mike and Marcus’ friendship and working relationship is threatened when Mike begins to develop feelings for Marcus’ sister Syd (Gabrielle Union). Unless they can separate the personal from the professional, the bad boys are in danger of blowing the case and endangering Syd’s life in the process.

Customer Reviews
on my list of worst films ever made
this is an awful, indulgent, badly made, badly written, badly acted, bad action set pieces and awful toilet humor drivel ego trip.michael bay should be put in prison for crimes against cinema after this drivel
High on Action, Low on Plot
The one thing i liked about Bad Boys 1 was that even though it was an action film, it had a decent plot. This movies plot is really uneven. This movie really relies on good humor and action to really make up for the plot, and who better to do that then Martin Lawrence and Will Smith. Also, the hilarious Joe Pantoliano as the captain, he is even more funny then he was in the first Bad Boys. Some really funny scenes in this, Martin Lawrence and Will Smith checking the dead bodies is my favorite scene, also Martin Lawrence seeing the rats having sex. Will Smith is alright on comedy, he is not at his best in this movie when it comes to comedy.
This movie was long overdue, which is why i was disappointed with the plot of the movie. I mean, it had been over 8 years since the original, and i was really expecting better. The action scenes are good though, very well directed and well setup. On action, this movie really tops the first Bad Boys, that is almost obvious.
great
Bad boys part two, carries on the same vein as the original movie with the perfect blend of action, drama and laughs and doesnt fail in either aspect.
The film can boast one of the most impressive car chase scenes ever, the scene where the villains are throwing new cars of the back of a lorry and will smith is dodging them is top notch.
Michael bay gives the film his usual stamp from slow motions walk ins to bullets gliding through the air like a ballet dancer, and scenes of violence that work perfectly and are never there for any other reason than to create a scene.
The chemistry between martin lawrence and will smith is again snappy and their scenes are all good, the scenes where smith and lawrence are caught on camera by a retail store talking over some things is great as is the scene where lawrence is high on some illegal products by accident.
The film is nigh on epic ,clocking in at 145 minutes or so but the film doesnt drag, the script is good enough and the film just has blockbuster stamped throughout so if you fancy a film that could sit proudly between lethal weapon and die hard in your collection then search no more.
