Well, I love this film5
This is the first review I've written for Amazon. So many people have had bad things to say about this film for so long, I thought I should take the time to say something positive about it. So here goes.

I love this film!!! I've watched it many times. It's got great special effects. I loved the slipping over on the sweets (I don't want to save any more for fear of spoiling the plot). Matthew Broderick and Jean Reno are magic to watch. I loved the performance of Doug Savant.

I'm sure I will continue to enjoy this film for the rest of my life. It's in my top 5 favourites. I don't know why so many people panned this film. It's definitely a case of... Don't listen to the critics. Watch it and make up your own mind. If you take the time to watch it, I really hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Better than King Kong, but this is not Godzilla as we know it4
The only problem with this film is the title, if they'd called it something else then you would not get people comparing this to Godzilla quite so much, so just pretend that this is a monster movie, nothing to do with Godzilla and you'll enjoy this film alot more.

None of the actors would win any awards for their acting, it's good enough, but that's it, but if it's action, excitement, monsters and a few cheap laughs every now and then then this is one you'll enjoy this.

Imagine Jurassic Park in New York city as it's alot like that (except there being only one species), unlike King Kong at least they actually give you an explanation as to why this monster is so large and has not just appeared seamingly out of thin air.

It's just a bad film!1
Unlike some of the other people who have reviewed this, I'm not a Godzilla fan outraged that this film doesn't do justice to the original. My complaint about this film is simply that it is naff in its own right.

Don't bother!
