Tour of Duty season 3 on DVD5
After some poor lurve-interest episodes in season 2 (just HOW MANY times can Zeke fall in love?), season 3 of Tour Of Duty is back on track with some punchier plotlines and more believable character development. There is an on-going story arc about Percell becoming increasingly unable to cope with the war, and another story arc about a massacre, as well as stand-alone episodes. However, if you are completely new to Tour of Duty beware spoliers in the episode blurbs that come with the DVDs.

The limitations of a TV budget show through here and there in terms of some creative re-use of a few sets and outside locations (Hey look, it's that river bank again!), but plot and acting more than make up for it. It is made for prime time TV, so gore is minimal and swearing is absent - however that doesn't stop it being gritty or dealing with uncomfortable issues. It's action with a heart, rather than all explosions and no plot.

Oh, and Steven Caffrey (Goldman) takes his shirt off several times. What more could a girl ask for?
