	Band Of Brothers - Complete HBO Series commemorative gift set (6 Disc Box Set) [2001] Buy new: £23.98 / Used from: £14.99 Spielberg and Hanks unite to create one of the best (if not THE best) tv series ever. based on the book by Stephen E Ambrose
	Das Boot - The Mini Series (2 Disc Uncut Version) [1985] Buy new: £5.53 / Used from: £5.15 Another powerful aspect of war brought to TV masterfully by Wolfgang Petersen.
	All Quiet On The Western Front [1930] Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £4.49 Another film taken from the German POV, and the first of two WW1 movies on this list.
	The Pianist [2003] Buy used from: £3.95 Another fantastic realisation of the horrors of the holocaust, with a tear-jerker of an ending that seals this movie as one of the best.
	The Bridge On The River Kwai [1957] Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £2.38 The greatest war movies list without this is incomplete. Essential viewing.
	Enemy at the Gates [2001] Buy new: £3.79 / Used from: £2.20 A fantastic look at the Russian side of the war. An excellent story, and some fantastic battle scenes.
	Downfall [2004] Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £3.90 Bruno Ganz is incredible as an Adolf Hitler who knows that the war is all but over in the closing months of WW2.
	Apocalypse Now [1979] Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £2.41 More a film set during a war than a war film, but essential nonetheless.
	The Longest Day [1962] A HUGE film about the most important day in history. Inferior to its other D-Day cousins, but it did it first, and it did it well!
	Gallipoli - Sce [1982] Buy used from: £8.99 The second WW1 film on the list. Directed by the great Peter Wier and starring a young Mel Gibson
	Black Hawk Down (2 Disc Set) [2002] Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £1.52 A fantastic film about the infamous disaster in africa. A huge ensable cast and a great director make this adrenalin charged film a great watch.
	Saints And Soldiers Buy new: £4.47 / Used from: £1.79 A fantastic small film about the ardennes offensive. Highly underrated it borrows many traits from the similar Band of Brothers and Private Ryan.
