A slightly underrated series. Jet Li displays some of his best work. Definitely worth a look. With a balance of humour, action, camera work and style.

Again, similar to Last Sword but from a widowers perspective. Hiroyuki Sanada you might now from Last Samurai, he beats the crap out of Cruise in the rain. He provides a human performance.

A Korean epic. Amazing action, but a little bit weak on the performances. I still think this is extremely underrated, more people should see it. If anything its one of Zhang Ziyis early films.

Classic Kurosawa. Inspired The Magnificent Seven. Everyone should see this film.

Two out of three are Period pieces, get this set. You wont regret it. All are amazing action films.

Zatoichi, one of my favourite characters. This is a classic series, and the better box set of the two available. 'Zatoichi Meets Yojimbo' is probably the best out of the 4.

If you know your Samurai films, these should be among your collection.

Not to everyones taste. Ran is set in feudal Japan with a King Lear touch. If you like Kurosawa then this is for you.

Following Hero with another period film. Beautiful shot, stunning action and pretty good performances.

Another really kool set. My favorite would have to be Iron Monkey, but thats just me. Go Donnie Yen!!!!

From Dusk Till Dawn meets strange Demons meets Samurai witch hunters. Visually entertaining if not all that good.

Set the same time as Hero with a more specific and realistic story. You wont find people flying about in this film. You will find a epic tale done beautifully well with interesting and detailed chara
