Customer Reviews

Totally flawed1
This is a video to avoid. Bad camerawork, editing and historically incorrect video, which is thrown together with the aid of a friendly Land Rover dealer.
It all happens mostly on the forecourt of a Land rover dealer. Lots of footage is spent on a few bad examples of Land Rover.
When the narrater talks about the Forward Control they show a normal Series 2 and when the narration switch to the military 101 they show the civilian Forward Control. Totally out of their depth.
They should have consulted the Dunsfold Collection, but I think they didn't have the time and/or the money to do a good documentary. It looks shabby and it is is shabby. And like I said, it all happens more or less on the forecourt of the friendly, local Land Rover dealer, who happen to have some examples in stock.
The history aspect is flawed and have some glaring mistakes.
So, I hoped for a DVD with some content, but came away very disappointed.
Please don't buy it, spend your money on a better DVD

Avoid Completely!!!1
This DVD is an outrageous attempt to cash in on the Land Rover name.Amateurish camerawork, inaccurate commentary - a complete rip-off.AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO DO LIKEWISE!!!

It doesn't deserve any stars, but I had to give it one for the review to be accepted...

What on earth????1
This dvd is the singular most boring thing I have ever seen, it is a bit like a slide show where the commentry does not match the pictures. The whole production reeks of cheapness and amaturism, when the narrator drones on about forward control models, we are shown lingering shots of bits of a series 2a 88"! The whole thing is inaccurate, tedious and a waste of time. I must admit, I never made it past half way.
