Sean Thomas was single, thirty-seven and, by his own admission, just 'a tiny bit desperate' to meet the woman of his dreams, when he was asked by the editor of "Men's Health" to try Internet dating. "Millions of Women are Waiting to Meet You" tells the poignant, hilarious and intriguing story of what happened next. Included are the tales of the Chinese woman who stalked him, the Welsh girl who dumped him because he didn't like soup, and the vivacious young woman who turned out to be rather too professional. But, "Millions of Women" is not just a gloriously indiscreet diary of the dates, good and bad. It also tells a story of how he was obliged to look at his past chequered love life, to find out what it was he liked and disliked in women, and what women might like and dislike in him. Similarly, in his trawl through the twilight world of the Internet he was forced to answer questions about his own sexuality and male sexuality in general. Why were so many men fascinated by lesbians? What was so good about stockings? And what was it like to have sex with someone really famous? As "Fever Pitch" was to football, so "Millions of Women" is to love. In its account of one man's feelings and experiences it tells the story of many men, and maybe some women too. A unique combination of "The Sexual Life of Catherine M" with "Things Can Only Get Better", "Millions of Women are Waiting to Meet You" will appeal to any woman who wants to know what men really think about sex and romance, and to any man who has wondered just why he is so keen on denim hotpants.

Editorial Reviews
India Knight
Tells you everything always wanted to know about men - and were quite right to be afraid to ask.
Laurence Phelan, Independent on Sunday
`There's a degree of self-awareness and honesty which means that,
rather scarily, he's written something that's revealing about all men'
Nicholas Lezard's Paperback Choice, Guardian
`This book is not only very easy to read, but a bloke's book to
boot ... made me laugh, quite often'

Interesting to hear the male perspective
This was a thoroughly entertaining book. Having just finished Diaries of an Internet Lover, by Dawn Porter, I was very interested to see the same thing again from the male perspective. Being an Internet Dater myself it was inspiring to read how adventurous Porter was but to see how a man might percieve me was also fascinating. Not only fascinating but hilarious to. I can heartfully recomend both of these books to anyone who would like an insight into the minds of two very perceptive individuals. This book is a brilliant read.
Wow!
I read about this in the Sunday Times and immediately bought a copy online - according to the article it would a) "tell men that being themselves is okay" and b) "give women a geniune insight into what it means to be a man in 2006."
So I bought it a) curious to find out whether I was normal and b) to show my girlfriend and prove I was!
So, did it work? Well... It is a brilliant read. It's a really entertaining look at Sean Thomas's lovelife and he seems able to talk about just about everything that's happened in his sexual/emotional past (lots of which is a little to shocking to be discussed on a forum like this.!!!) with incredible honesty. It's really fascinating as women are always talking about their relationships - look at women's glossy magazines - whereas men just don't go into the nitty gritty, other than in terms of listing sexual conquests. And this is far from that. It also has a great human-interest story in that Sean ends up finally finding hapiness in the most unlikley circumstances. That said, there are some things that Sean's done along the way that I certainly haven't and I wouldn't want my girlfriend thinking I was quite as racy as him so... wil I be lending it to her? No way! She'd never speak to me again!
For all men who date
I've only read upto to his second date and I can't stop laughing, which makes reading it difficult. But if you are male and date, love, loved, lost or explored the world on online dating GET THIS BOOK! It is fantastic and makes you feel like your not alone and all the odd bizarre things you do in the name of love and lust are common place amongst your male associates!
You are not alone, yet you are, so very, very alone.
