Customer Reviews

You have to take your hat off to these guy's5
Recorded at Ray Davies' famous Konk studios in the summer, Hat's Off sees the band adding Ben Waters on Piano / Keyboards to maximum effect.
14 immense Blues tracks originally recorded by such luminaries as Muddy Waters / Elmore James / John Brim / Willie Dixon / Freddie King / Chuck Berry / Eddie Boyd / Junior Wells / Memphis Slim / Slim Harpo / Jimmie Rodgers & Little Walter are given the NBZ re-generation treatment and emerge pumped full of new life.
The guitar work is blistering, the drum patterns awesome, the bass lines touch your soul and the harmonica adds the icing to the sweetest Blues cake you are ever likely to taste.
Show some respect, these guy's have!!!

Another Gem5
Another gem from one of the best acts around - period! Firstly let me say that if you love live music and the blues then seeing Nine Below Zero is a must. Energetic - once described as being able to get a morgue to dance - these boys know how to do the blues. And this album captures that energy and has you tapping along from the opening note to the very end. Wonderfully chosen tracks that encourage the whole range of the bands talents, Nine Below Zero give them the superb treatment that they desrve.

Do yourself 2 favours - buy this album and go and see them live. You won't regret either!

Nine Below Zero, WOW5
Wow, what can I say, this album is A1. If you like The Blues then this is an essential 'tribute' to your collection. If you like this then its a must to catch them live, the best cosy concert you will go to this year. Try and find 'On The Road Again' DVD filmed live in Northants it will give you an insight to the great performance and effort these guys put in to every show, esp. now Ben Waters is on tour with them. (Feb '05) Hats off to you Dennis, Gerry, Brendan and Mark.
