A DOUBLE DOSE OF NBZ DOING WHAT THEY DO BEST LIVE!5
One of the UK's most enjoyable and enduring bands Nine Below Zero here doing two live sets, one electric and one acoustic. The electric set was recorded on tour in Croatia etc. and is a very good solid NBZ gig full of great songs,so well played and performed. This is the CD part of this 2 disc set. The DVD was recorded in Cumbria and is an acoustic set,and a very good one indeed. The audience are clearly enjoying it and the bands on top form.clearly this was recorded during the very successful acoustic 2007 tour.It shows another side to the band and proves just what sheer class they are. This band are a national treasure who now 30 years on still produce five star records, five star performances throughout the year. There are not many better at real British rhythm n blues than they are,Dennis Greaves,a top rank guitarist with a fine voice and leads this band who in the current line up have been together since 1991 and their solid sound throughout show they are still very much at the top of their game. With Gerry McAvoy on bass,Mark Feltham must be one of the best harmonica player on the scene ,along with the solid Brenden O'Neill on drums add up to as I've said one of the very best and most popular bands around today and these two discs prove why they've been at the very top for thirty years plus, and while your at it check their fabulous new CD celebrating those years, all new material as well.Buy with confidence a 5 star double set all the way.

Look for the small print...2
I bought this as an intro to Nine Below Zero, really liked the 11 + 11 song when it was on the Young Ones (!) However... a) this is mostly a live Album (I say mostly as i have not bothered to listen to the 2nd Disc)... b) none of the other songs are like the single and seem to be what sounds like old fashioned covers. when you read the small print on the CD it says they were taken from a tour of Croatia and Macedonia... that sounds quite glamorous (in a new art sort of way) but actually sounds like a load of drunk guys down the local pub singing along...

I don't think live CD's really work, if you do and you like this band then get it. if you are looking for a decent summary of this band i don't think this is it...
