Tense and riveting5
This is the story of a woman trying to get on with her life. Dee Stanton's(Jemma Redgrave) past was a jumbled mess. Now she lives in a small English town, her son goes to the local high school and she has a fiance. Dee knew she would have to face her past and tell her fiance' Dominic Milne(Robson Green) about her past. She never dreamed her son, Jamie(Somerset Prew) would over hear their conversation. Now he knows, his real father wasn't a fighter pilot, as Dee had told him, but a serial killer in prison. Curiousity wins out and Jamie goes to see his father.
The next day, a girl is found dead and now that Jamie's parentage is known, all wonder whether Jamie hadn't followed in his father's footsteps.

"Like Father, Like Son" is a story with many layers. On one level you have Dee and Dominic racing to prove that Jamie is innocent. On another level the watcher is faced with the teenage angst of high school. The two intermix.

I really liked this film and the way the two stories were combined to meet to a satisfying ending. All the actors gave strong performances, though the young woman who played the school girls went abit over the top.

I do recommend this film

Two Part Drama rocks ITV5
In this chillng two part drama, both Gemma Redgrave and Robson Green give average & bland performances. However, the actresses which make the show exciting, enjoyable and thrilling to watch are Florence Bell (playing Abit Taylor) and Georgia Moffett (Morag). The performances these two young actresses gave were outstanding, and they are both headed for bigger and better things.
