Product Description

Next summer, the creators of Monsters, Inc. and Toy Story bring us a new cinematic adventure set in the vibrant world of the Great Barrier Reef. The film stars a clown fish who sets on an epic journey to rescue his son who is unexpectedly taken far from home. Albert Brooks provides the voice of Nemo's fretful father who risks life and fin to find his son. Newcomer Alexander Gould is heard as the adventurous young Nemo. Ellen DeGeneres voices Dory, a forgetful but relentlessly optimistic companion that the father meets during his travels. The Art of Finding Nemo captures the creation of this film with vividly reproduced concept art and insightful interviews with the Pixar Studios team. The only Nemo book published for adults, The Art of Finding Nemo celebrates the wizardry of Pixar animation.

Customer Reviews

Very nice book despite a slight let down5
When Hyperion published the art of toy story and the art of bugs life these books were very impressive in content and size for me the art of monsters and nemo are a slight disapointment. Being smaller and only containing concept art which is both beautifull and amazing, it's a shame they are smaller format and do not include any final rendered artwork, that said this book contains some amazing concept art and is must for all pixar fans.

I agree4
This is a beautiful book, full of sensational art work, in particular great storyboards, wonderful pastel lighting studies and great character designs. However, if you own previous books like the art of A Bugs Life and Toy Story this will be a bit of a disappointment to you. Back in the days the 'Art of...' books were heavy, expensive and full of interest, these days they are slimming down a bit, the art work is shrunken and there is less of it, plus there is not much about the process. This book is very similar to the 'Art of Monsters INC.' if you have that. But it is still worth a look at what PIXAR are doing.

Very Beautiful Pastels5
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/review/RUYXQYM11TNGQ This cover is the most beautiful one of all the Pixar artbooks I've owned. That pastel drawing was done by Ralph Eggleston, production designer.

This book will only enhance that feel-good feeling you have after you watch the movie, probably several times if you have kids.

There are a lot of pastel storyboards drawn for lighting studies. They are incredibly beautiful and you can almost feel the texture to them. The colour theory used for the movie is explained to you by Ralph Eggleston.

The pages are filled with character studies, set designs and lighting studies. Most of the panels were captioned to explain the art direction behind. You'll feel as if you're going on a tour at the Pixar studio, looking at art with artists talking to you.

This book gives you the movie.

This is almost a required purchase if you like Finding Nemo or just beautiful art.
