Barbara Case is a bead jewellery designer whose company Bead Exclusive sells jewellery to top-quality shops and via party plan, and also sells individual beads and kits mail order. Barbara gives talks and lectures on beads and bead making - particularly on beads from around the world. Barbara lives in Newton Abbot, Devon.

A gorgeous book.
A classic. Distinctive, interesting and classy projects, catering to everyone from the novice to the more experienced beader. Methods are clearly set out, and are very easy to follow. There's useful background information on bead and finding types, which is invaluable for those starting out. Beautiful photography, lovely design, and a writing style that is clear without being condescending.
New to beading? - Look no further!
If you're new to making beaded jewellery then this is the book for you - or indeed any of Barbara Case's instruction books. (I own 3) She starts with clear explanations of all the materials and tools you need, explaining what everything is, what its for and how to use it. She includes in-depth instructions, illustrations and photo's on how to make the simplest pair of earrings for beginners to much more complicated and elaborate designs for the more experienced beader. There are even instructions on how to make your own beads. Worth every penny.
great starter book
This is an excellent book whether you're just starting out or have more experience. I have only made a couple of pieces before and I found this book, inspiring and instructional. I have already embarked on my first project from it. I would be pleased to wear or gift any item from it and lovers of traditional or more modern pieces would find plenty to excite them here.
