Whether ad-libed or scripted - it's brilliant
I've got to agree with D Wells. I went to see the show at the O2 and it was extremely funny when Noel got 'stuck in the chair.' Who cares if it was scripted? They're a comedy act, and they write good comedy.

I love Mighty Boosh just as much now as the first time I saw them on TV, and very few live shows have made me laugh as much as they did. If you're a real fan and just enjoy what they do then get this. You won't regret it.

Like the majority of people leaving reviews i love the boosh,the last 3 seasons have been great and there last live tour was hilarious,this on the other hand is not.It may have a bigger budget but its got a lot less laughs.Very disjointed,not enough of either bolo or naboo and the songs (for the majority) have all been used and heard in season 3.Fulcher was a good saving grace,but he alone couldnt breath life into this corpse of a show.what struck me most is that it was just one character after another roled out with very little aim,story or plot.



I would strongly urge you rent before you buy.

I utterly disagree with the other two reviews so far. I did see this tour live in Brixton. I laughed all the way through. Who cares if Noel only pretended to be stuck in the chair? I only saw it live once and I was sore from laughing so hard. Besides, we had some idiot in our crowd that was heckling them all the way through, so I'm sure we got some unique bits as every show on the tour did. I cannot wait to get this DVD and relive, if nothing else, Noel as Sunflash!

It's typical of fans who have "been there since the beginning" to think they have some special rights to a band, an actor or a comedy team. To think that if they do something different or something the fan doesn't approve of suddenly means that performer has sold out or it's the fault, as one reviewer has stated, of the newer fans. But in reality, performers must evolve and though a lot of people trashed series 3, I thought it was brilliant and hilarious. I have been a fan for a long time (though not since the radio days admittedly), but I don't see how my becoming a fan after they had already been around for awhile means that the Boosh is going downhill. And personally, I welcome new fans. The Boosh deserve to be successful!!

In summary, whether you saw this tour live or this will be your first time, whether you have been a fan for years or seconds, you will absolutely love this DVD and laugh your head off. Unless you are an old curmudgeon who thinks they own the Boosh and don't want to share them with anyone else...
