Don't waste your money
Having bought a rat trap that was too powerful (I nearly lost fingers trying to set it up, and was getting scared of the cursed thing), I went for one of these, attracted by the ease with which they can be set. Now I'll admit, this trap is very, very easy to prime; just press the lever at the back, and everything locks into place. Unfortunately, the ease is a byproduct of it having the weakest spring in the world. It was triggered several times, but my furry fiend apparently was non-plussed by its scrape - enough to come back for more. Rat trap? Nope. I'll grit my teeth and return to my other, scary trap...this one is in the bin.

5 minute wonder, three dead rodents = one dead trap
I bought 4 of these. Yes they are easy very to set , yes they can catch and kill rodents and unlike a cage trap, there is no problem with the animal being shy to take the bait. So why only 1 star? Well after about three or four trip cycles the plastic retaining (yes plastic, not metal! ) catch either wears out or snaps off! All four are now useless I think they are designed for pest control officers who are prepared to buy these 100 at a time, at a knock down price and chuck them in the bin with the dead rat. Don't waste your money.
