Brilliantly illuminating.
An excellent piece of kit that makes night time filming amazingly clear. It says not all Sony Handycams are compatible so you need to make sure yours is, but the IR light itself is battery operated and self contained - you could always hold on to it and point it in the general direction you want illuminating!

The IR booster means that instead of just being able to see 5m in front of you, you can see up to 25m clearly (more I'm sure but I've not tested it beyond that).

Super Sony Infra Red Light!
I have a Sony DCR-HC37 Camcorder and found that the night shot mode was not very good. I saw this IR light and even though my make of camera is not shown in the compatability list, it works excellently with the arm bracket! Now I can go Ghost Hunting and see further in the dark. Highly reccomended.
