Recommended, but with some flaws4
I've been a fan of this series of books ever since I aquired my first copy of the second edition way back in 1989 which helped grow my hobby. If you are interested in buses, this is a useful and well illustrated book that will guide the novice and life long bus enthusiast around the sometimes confusing world of bus and coach types including revealing interesting facts and ways to identify buses by bodywork.

However, some care is needed as some of the information would have been incorrect at the time of print, and in this edition there is way too much use of old images to illustrate bus types still in service including pictures taken back in 1990 which isnt very good when the caption then reads "buses like this are no longer operated by this company, and the company is now called something else" because the book is published some 16 years later. The pictures should be modern if the book is to represent a modern list of bus types. A few typo errors have also crept into the book indicating that proof reading wasnt as good as it good be.

In the end though, these are forgivable faults and the book (and the series) are a worthwhile purchase.

Bus It!5
My interest in buses has been enhanced by this beautiful little book by Alan Millar. It is crammed full of photographs and information. I am really enjoying travelling about with this book in my bag for reference. Another helpful aspect is it is printed on glossy hard wearing paper which makes it a robust travelling companion. A must for the bus buff. Exactly what I was looking for when I was considering buying a book on buses.
