About the Author
Terry Beggs and his family are well established residents of Menai Bridge. Terry served as a cadet on H.M.S. Conway at Plas Newydd, was a student of Oceanography at Bangor, and later principal of the Indefatigable training establishment at Plas Llanfair. After some years at sea he specialised in maritime training and commenced that career as a lecturer at the Liverpool Polytechnic. Thereafter he was manager of the training department for a famous Liverpool shipping company, then at the Indefatigable, and finally back on Merseyside, again heading the training arrangements for a shipping company. After retiring in 1999 he added to his other interests by following a photographic course. In 2003, he published photographs in his first book The Menai Strait along with the author Gwyn Pari Huws.
