The book is described by Dr. France as "Everton's DNA" and it is an apt description for a tome that embraces club ledgers, cash books, medals, international caps and every Everton programme - to list but some of the facets that portray the rich heritage of one of the most recognised and respected in England.

Customer Reviews
IF YOU SUPPORT EVERTON-YOU MUST BUY THIS.
as a collecter of everton books-and i have well over 90-i can honestly say this is by far the most magical everton book i have ever read.dr.david france has written other everton books and as fine as they all are, this one sits head and shoulders above the rest.
this book recounts davids obsession of collecting all things pertaining to everton football club but is written in a way that explains how and why some of these artefacts were purchased.
it also gives some of davids recollection about games he watched, the trips he made, the sleepless nights and all things everton.
it really is a fascinating book and one no everton supporter should be without.
there have been some everton greats-dean,ball,young,southall,labone etc etc-all who have graced the famous goodison turf.
but one man in my mind can beat them all and be called the greatest evertonian ever.
ARISE SIR DAVID FRANCE.
For every Evertonian
I recently bought the book and as a lifelong Evertonian, would recommend it to all toffees. Amazing insight into this historic club, and very well written. 5 stars!
