NICKELBACK - dieser Name wird in den letzten Monaten wohl jedem das ein oder andere Mal um die Ohren geflogen sein. Die Band um den charismatischen Sänger Chad Kroeger, die mit ihrem Song "How You Remind Me" weltweit durch die Decke geknallt ist, konnte durch diesen Mega Erfolg den Longplayer "Silver Side Up" weltweit mehr als 7 Millionen mal verkaufen. In fast allen Ländern, in denen er veröffentlicht wurde, konnte er mit Platin ausgezeichnet werden. In einigen Ländern sogar mehrfach. Auch in Deutschland konnte Platin verliehen werden, und dazu hat die Band noch im August diesen Jahres den Kometen in der Kategorie "Best Rock Act" gewonnen. Getourt wurde auch und zwar ausgiebig! 18 Monate lang war die Band auf Tour. USA, Australien, Japan, Europa, und nicht zuletzt auch im Heimatland Kanada wurde "Silver Side Up" in diversen Clubs und später auch großen Venues live vorgestellt. Eine Halle steht in Edmonton, Kanada. Dort konnte sich die Band einen Wunschtraum erfüllen. Sie spielte in der gleichen Halle, in der sie vor Jahren selbst als Fans im Publikum standen und sich Bands wie Metallica oder Motörhead angeschaut haben. Am 25.01.02 war es dann soweit, und im Zuge der "Silver Side Up" Tour standen die 4 Kanadier selbst vor 25.000 Leuten auf der Bühne. Die größte Show, die sie bis dato je in einer Halle gespielt hatten. Diese kraftvolle und mit Pyrotechnik angefüllte Show wurde unter Leitung von Regisseur Nigel Dick u.a. Video zu "Too Bad" aufgezeichnet und anschließend auf eine DVD gebannt. Wer im Zuge der Deutschlandtour NICKELBACK gesehen hat, wird Teile der Live Show sofort wiedererkennen und andere Teile werden neu für ihn sein. Sich die Band mit einer fantastischen Licht- und Pyroshow auf DVD zu geben ist fett! Natürlich sind auch ihre Hits "How You Remind Me", "Too Bad", "Leader Of Men" und "Old Enough" vertreten.

A really good buy, I would recomend to any Nickelback fan
From the moment I started watching I couldn't stop. The tape shows footage of the Nickelback tour with performances of all the favorite songs from albums like "The State" and the more recent "Silver Side Up" but also with some new material added and a special guest performance. Watching the video is just as good as watching the band play live but with the advantage of being able to get a close view of all the members. However if you wanted to see extra footage such as backstage and interviews with the band I would recomend buying the DVD where this is all available.

THIS ROCKS!!!
This DVD features a full lenght feature of a conecrt they did in canada earlier in the year. It has songs from all three of there official albums; "Curb", "The State", and "Silver Side Up" and also features a new song "mistake." Especially look out for the wicked perormance of "Where do I hide" which really sets the standard for any good live show. This is a high energy performance with all the pyrotechnics and camera tricks. A definate must for any Nickelback fan. Plus with all the backstage footage, interviews and even the making of the "Too Bad" video there is plenty to keep you amused.

Well Nickelback i never heard of them three years ago but now they are one of the best bands in the world, and the DVD shows this. It is full of there hits including `How you remind me`, `leader of men` and `were do i hide`. The great thing about this is that it contains special features which shows us getting to know nickelback more and seeing before the performance and after. Also shows there videos and the making of them. So for all the nickelback fans out there this is a must!!
