DVD Description
Join Kath & Kim as they open their mock-colonial front door to the cameras, in this fly-on-the-slice-of-life eight part series!

Kath is a fortysomething empty nester who is very proud of her home and how she looks. Kim is her spoilt twentysomething daughter. With Kath’s new fiancé Kel, Kim’s estranged husband Brett and her second best friend Sharon, they love to make mountains out of molehills and sows ears out of silk purses.

Sex. Kim demands Sharon’s help to stalk her estranged husband Brett while Kath and Kel are going at it like rabbits.

Gay. Kath is concerned that there may be a dark secret at the heart of Brett and Kim’s separation…

Sport. Kel designs a commemorative sausage to celebrate the big day and Kim is enlisted to play on her second best friend Sharon’s netball team.

Fat. Chaos reigns when it’s discovered that Kim has stacked on the weight and doesn’t fit in her bridesmaid’s dress.

Old. Kath is worried that Kel is losing interest and decides to move on without him!

Money. Kath organises a lingerie party with Kim and Sharon modelling the merchandise and serving hot suggestions.

Party. Kim organises a top hen’s night for Kath. With a stick-on-bra, fake tan and a one-sleeve top, Kath is ready to party!

The Wedding. With punch served from the garbage bin and a tarp over the clothesline, it’s time for the ritziest fairy tale wedding ever.

It's noice, it's unewesual5
This is THE best, most consistently funny show on TV at the moment. Every episode is packed full of surreal situations and incredibly quick fire humour. What I most like about this show is that Gina Riley and Jane Turner have managed to create a programme with more than one layer to it. You can watch it and enjoy the visual comedy, from Kath's dodgy perm and MC Hammer jumpsuits, to Kel's greasy slicked hair. You can laugh hysterically at the situational humour and observational humour. But... if you watch an episode again you'll pick up on whole new jokes you missed the first time around, because throughout each episode, subtle wordplay is in action. The two women who write and star in K&K admit to being hugely influenced by Ab Fab, and you can definitely see the similarities, although it's more of a role-reversal with the mother being the more sensible of the two, and the daughter being the selfish, spoilt whiny brat. The over the top costumes and catchphrases are also influenced by Ab Fab - I thought I'd never see colours as violent and clashing again after Ab Fab's Edina bowed out, but Kath seems to be spearheading an eighties fluro revival. This show truly deserves a place in TV history, it's far funnier than any British comedies of recent years, please go out and buy it!

'Yewmar' at it's best!5
This is by far one of the funniest shows for years. The writing, casting and acting are faultless. Each episode leaves you wanting more and you'll have a smile on your face for ages afterwards. The character of 'Sharon' is pure genius and for me, she's the star of the show - and that's high praise in itself, as the whole cast give some of the best comedy performances I've seen in a long time. The out-takes are brilliant too!

Hilarious! Deserves more recognition5
Kath & Kim is one of the funniest TV shows in ages. Gina Riley and Jane Turner are hilarious as the whiney Kim and houseproud Kath, an Aussie mother and daughter. The series gets better and better, ending with the Wedding, where Kath marries Kel and finally gets her "pumpkin-style coach"!
If you like Little Britain, Alan Partridge, The Office, any good comedy, you will love this! i'd heard people talking about it before I got to see it and was desperate to watch it, so if you've missed the first series on TV then buy the dvd and you won't be disappointed!
