Synopsis
The Canadian television series DUE SOUTH is a police action-comedy revolving around Canadian Mountie Benton Frasier (Paul Gross) and his partner, Detective Stanley Raymond Kowalski (Callum Keith Rennie). Exported to the streets of Chicago from up north to fight crime, the two - armed only with a deaf, lip-reading K-9 and their traditional moral code - encounter endless humour.

Seasons 3-4
For customers who recall there being four seasons of this show and wonder why series 3 is advertised here as the final series.

I've done some research and seasons 3 and 4 were only 13 episodes long.

So what is advertised here as season three is actually all 26 episodes of seasons THREE and FOUR.

Good value and a great series!

I love Due South and the last two series (the whole of the dvd boxset) are the best!
I watched Due South back in the day when it first aired on the bbc and I loved it! Sure the first two series were good; funny and charming. BUT the last series were sooo much better. I get why people miss the ray v but ray kowalski was just a much deeper character. And the relationship between Fraser and RayK is a more endearing one - rayK, who's completely insecure and lonely, finds his place in the world through his friendship with Fraser whilst Fraser, charming but distant, finally understands that you need to be adaptable (emotionally) to be able to truely connect with people. Lol, okay, so maybe I've completely overanalysed their characters but I like these last two series the most because as well as the crimes faced each episode it's the relationship between the two front men that is important. I think the chemistry between the characters of Fraser and RayK and the actors Paul Gross and Callum Keith Rennie are much better than of the previous partnership.

Haven't bought the dvds yet - but AS SOON AS I have the money, it'll be sitting pride of place on my shelf next to House MD and Spooks. Lol.

Good but not Great (but still way better than other cop shows)!
Callum Keith Rennie does a great job of making his "Ray" a new and interesting quirky character. Both Callum and Paul Gross do a great job of trying to make their characters interact well. However, this series will always be compared to the older series with the other Ray and thus the stakes are preset at a high quality. Also, a reduced budget means the show has to spend it's money and tell it's stories more wisely. It's still way better than most other cop shows. If it was judged in it's own right it would be 5 stars. However, fans do always find changes hard to deal with. Whether it's the change of a theme tune (why mess, if it's not broke, etc...) or more obviously a change of actor/character. Also worth watching any Due South as Paul Haggis was the driving force behind it and he has now taken his writing/directing talents to Hollywood to great success.
