Great product
At first sight looks complicated to use, with lots of flashing coloured lights. But is fully automatic. There's nothing to set or do, just plug in. Chunky, well-made product, supplied with numerous cables and connection options. The complicated instructions/notes just describe the routine that the charger is going through.

Rescue
I had previously heard excellent reviews for this product and when my bike battery went flat after sitting during the winter, it quickly rescued me from immobility. The supplied plug-in battery leads enable the charger to be quickly connected, ensuring that the battery is always in tip-top condition.

Highly recommended - apparently motorbike dealers call Feb/March "the Optimate season".

Does exactly what it says on the box
Optimate is one of those rare products that actually does live up to the hype. It genuinely is simple to use, it really does work and so far it has proved utterly reliable. The directions are clear though the truly hard of thinking might find the explanation of what everything means a little baffling. But even if you don't read any of the instructions and just hook it up (it's obvious how) and start using it, the Optimate soon make sit pretty obvious whether all is well or not.

Seriously, there are other competing products out there and some of them are cheaper. Put them next to each other and you'll see why - Optimate oozes quality and I'm confident I can leave it bouncing round my garage for the next ten years or so and it'll still be working as well as it is now...
