Synopsis
From his turbulent upbringing and early success as the star of the Jackson Five, to his wildly successful career as a solo artist in the 1980s, through the scandals that have overshadowed his music career throughout the late 1990s and into the 21st century, Jackson has lived up to his title of "entertainer" by maintaining the public's interest. Covering all the topics that come to mind when one thinks of this superstar, MAN IN THE MIRROR is careful not to choose sides, maintaining an objective, humorous perspective on a personal life that became public drama.

Truly BAD!1
If you buy this expecting to see a biopic similar to Ray or walk the line then think again. This TV movie due to the lack of licensing doesn't feature one Michael Jackson song instead it has muted musical performances from an impersonator. The acting is awful. The editing is terrible, it looks as though it has been filmed with a camcorder at times. The production is a complete mess.

The same Actor plays Michael from the late 70's to 2003 and to compensate the changes that we've seen Michael go through in that time they simply cover the guy in white powder or something! You can see his actual skin tone underneath.

The cliched dialogue is almost laugh out loud funny. When Michael meets Martin Bashir for the first time he say's "if I can't trust you who can I trust" and when talking about his 2001 concert at Madison square garden saying that tomorrows headlines will be a day to remember (the night before 9/11). Come on!!!

Then there's the incredibly cheesy ending in which Michael goes on trial and the film ends there with a group of people looking solemnly at the camera one by one. It's clear that the film was rushed out by amateur producers to coincide with the trial, not even bothering to see the outcome of it.

If you want a better film about Michael Jackson check out the Jacksons: An American Dream, at least that actually features many Jackson 5 and MJ songs and isn't as poorly put together as this rubbish. Unfortunately its only available from the US so you'll need a multi region player. Michael would never endorse this rubbish. Avoid it!!!

Don't buy it!1
This film is an embarrassment to Michael Jackson. The acting is terrible and the casting is even worse. Michael is portrayed as a girly idiot with no forsight or charisma - other than talking like a 4 year old girl. Michael Jackson was an intelligent man and this film makes him look ridiculous. The actor playing Michael looks nothing like him and the make-up used appears to make him look green at one point! a total waste of money and cringe worthy to watch. Any Michael fans would hate it!

MICHAEL IS ALIVE!!5
Since the King of Pop's heart-breaking demise my life has been in turmoil- until NOW!! After just 5 minutes of this flawless biopic, life became worth living to the full once more ; the actor playing MJ is clearly chanelling His spirit back onto these terrestial realms. As the glittering life and career of the mighty MJ unfold, it is though His very presence fills the room (such is the quality of the acting/storyline). Tears will well in your eyes (as in mine) during the infamous CIA fuelled trials - but rest assured and take heart, the awesome power of the movie lifts you beyond any thoughts of hopelessness and despair and transports you into a unique state of togetherness with MJ once more. Surely to become the Holy Grail for any MJ devotee. This is it.
