Video Description
`Prince Naseem Hamed' started boxing professionally in 1992 and was soon well known for his fl ashy, compulsive, unpredictable style . In his career he won the WBC, IBF and WBO world titles at various weights but would always be known as a showman and entertainer.
Hamed's most powerful punch was a straight left that was known to knock strong fighters out in a single shot. Hamed was also known to clown around in the ring. When hit cleanly he would smile at opponents, make faces, shake his head, and shrug his shoulders to indicate that he wasn't hurt!
Prince Naseem was one of the most flamboyant fighters of our time and this DVD traces the highlights of his extraordinary career from start to finish - blow by blow!
Synopsis
Highlights from the extraordinary career of boxing great 'Prince' Naseem Hamed.

Let Down
Not as good as i expected to be honest, there is no narrator in the video, very few interviews and behind the scenes footage and the flamboyent entrances into the ring by Naseem are not showed to their full as they are shortened and contain no entrance music. Also, none of the build ups to the fights are shown and worst of all is the limited time it goes on for and the lack of fights that are shown, the last fight seen is against Kevin Kelley in 1996 or 97 (i think) and nothing else after that.
2/5 i'd give it 3/5 if i were to be generous, could have been better.
Arrogant, pretencious and a waste of natural talent.
Naseem Hamed was the hardest punching Featherweight I have ever seen. He combined this natural ability, to knock people out with one punch, with speed, cat like reflexes and an awkward style that only the best could figure out. Unfortuneatley, Hameds natural talent was match only by his arrogance. He tried to talk like Ali, but not having wit for it ended up coming across as just as idiot. His over-the-top showboating during his fights were annoying and very disrespectful to those that he shared a ring with.
He rapidly rose to the WBO Featherweight Title but once he had reached the top, a slow decline set it. Fight by fight he started to get hit a little more, visited the canvass numerous times only for his unbelievable power to bail him out of trouble. The problem was that at some point he started to believe his own hype. He sacked his long-time trainer and brought in a 'yes-man'. He started calling the shots in training and stopped the road-work. He didnt train properly and by the time he got to fight a true great in MArco Antonio Barerra, he was reduced to being a flat-footed, single-shot punching brawller .... he was then predictably taken to school by the great Mexican.
Since his retirement, Hamed has been disgraced and imprisoned whilst continuing to conn the public into believing he may come back into the ring. Hamed will always be remembered as an entertaining, yet annoying fighter that peaked and declined early in his career.
This DVD is not a good sports documentary at all. Its cheaply made and doesnt contain his full career. The fights are entertaining and simply on that level this DVD can be enjoyable. Overall, however, this is a poor DVD and not worth buying.
