Lindam-Domed Fireguard
I was disapointed with the design of the fireguard, we found it very awkward to put together,the fixings didn't seem to go with the guard,and the top didn't fit well. Doesn't fold away easy with the top on.

Not quite what I expected for a child proof safety item
I purchased this item to protect my grandchildren from a multi fuel stove and was reasonably pleased with it, although I agreed with the reviewers who stated that with the dome it was not possible to fold it easily. However, I have discovered that it has some extremely badly finished areas when I accidentally cut my hand on a very sharp piece of wire. On examination I found that there were several parts which were badly finished and could have harmed a child easily. I would not recommend this item to anyone. I have now examined the fireguard thoroughly and filed the offending areas. Obviously, quality control is not a big deal at Lindam!

Good solid fireguard
We bought this fireguard once we realised it was getting quite cold and need our fire on during the day. Before then we had taught our son not to touch the coals but bit of a safety issue once the fire is actually alight! Arrived really promptly and it is flat packed and does take a bit of time and effort to put together. Asked my Dad to help with this - it took him approximately an hour to assemble and fit. Be prepared to remove toddlers, toys and other clutter as you need a big bit of floor space to lay it out and assemble. Once it's up it looks as good as a fire guard can in our opinion. As we have a black slate hearth and fire surround it merges in quite well. The only down side is that there is no access to the fire other than removing the whole of the guard if say you want to turn the fire down etc, so this may not suit people so well who have real wood or coal fires that want to regularly be adding fuel. Overall though a great product at a reasonable price that does exactly what you want it to do which is keep your children safe. Would recommend.
