EA Sports finally bring home the bacon.....5
Last year's TW on the WII was a disaster due to the completely unrealistic putting system.
This year it is different.
I have only played the game with the WII Motion Plus on the advanced settings because I wanted a realistic Golf simulation.
And I have not been disappointed.
Having 'existed' on the '08 version for 2 years this is a wonderful challenge.
Each time I play a shot I have to consider several things at once-not only wind, lie and club selection but my entire swing mechanic- shoulders, hips, wrists, smoothness of swing etc.
After 1 day I have managed to correct my tendency to hook too much but I still need to build my avatar's skill level to become more proficient.
Chipping and pitching are more responsive instead of the complete lottery in previous years and playing in the torrential rain is a great test.
Putting is a real thing to behold thanks to 'Precision Putting'-quite why anyone would want to to revert to last year's putting disaster (which is an option)is beyond me but for me the matter has been resolved.
Graphics have been criticised in some reviews but because I have my grounding on the '08 version I think this year's graphics
are vastly improved-check out Banff Springs background graphics-they are very pretty considering the WII's limitations although the great man himself looks a bit weird this year!
I have just played Sawgrass on maximum difficulty with a created avatar and limited skill levels (until I build them up)- I was 13 0ver on the front nine (remember I've had the game 24 hours) but the back nine was different.Finished 3 under for the back nine without a dropped shot (including par at the infamous 17th) and I live in hope.
Disc golf shows how accurately the Motion Plus system works-I've had a go for 10 minutes to check it out and it is very responsive although it's the Golf I'm more interested in-Disc Golf strikes me as a fun thing for the family to play. The menu system is very easy to navigate.
This is quite simply a great game.I played Cricket for 20 years wishing I could play Golf but the two were too time consuming.
I wanted more of a challenge and I've got it.I can now play a realistic simulation without leaving my living room.
Excellent.

FINALLY something better than Wii Sports Golf - Honest Review!!!5
Having owned a Wii since it was released I have been LONG awaiting a truely quality Golf game, sure Wii Sports Golf is excellent, but having been playing the same 9 holes for hours on end I wanted a game that had longevity. I have played on all the Tiger Woods series and have been somewhat unimpressed with them all; '09 had the HUGE putting issue, '08 wasn't great and the least said about '07 the better, and i'll be honest my first thought regarding Tiger Woods 10 was that it would be yet another episode in the EA misery... BUT i was wrong and BOY was i wrong!!

First of all, everything that was wrong on all the other games in the series seems to have been put right, last years putting nightmare has been corrected and is in my opinion the best seen on the Wii (including Wii Sports), there seems no problems graphically and there is enough in this game to keep you going for ages. It really is good for both the serious, as well as casual golf gamer. The ALL-STAR feature has its upsides for the novice or beginner but the harder settings are more suited to those more familiar with the game itself, I agree with other reviewers that this is the closest to golf that you're going to get in your living room!

... Which brings me to the Wii MotionPlus, there are not enough words in my opinion that does it justice. The fact that the putting on this game is second to none is a credit to it, not only that but it really does make the game more realsitic, and as for the accuracy of it, all you have to do is have a go on the Disc Golf feature (one of the mini games) and the proof speaks for itself. I have played on this feature for quite some time now and I can honestly say the Wii has picked up every motion perfectly! During the Golf iself, I played solid for 6 hours the 1st night i got it and towards the end of that time it was picking up that I was not hitting as hard as I had been (due to the fact that my arms were ready for dropping off!). It really is a clever little gadget that will make more Wii games in the future a hell of a lot more enjoyable, let alone realistic!

The game itself holds several career options and I have been playing for days now and still am not bored of it, and I get the feeling the novelty will be around for quite some time before wearing off. I rarely review products but the fact that I'd seen people commenting that the game was amazing but still giving 1 star due to some silly reason is not a true reflection of the game itself, so felt obliged to try to get the star rating up where it should be! 'Cos this is a TRUE Golf simulation game for all ages and skills.

BUY this game, especially with the MotionPlus... you will not regret it!!!

Honest review5
Well I play golf, and have also played all the golf titles on the WII. ( (Sorry but We Love Golf is the worse title, you dont even do proper golf swings in it, its all done by a power metre)
This one is the best.
In Tiger Woods 09, if you took a slow weak swing, the ball would still be hit at something like 75 - 80 %. In this version, it is realistic and responds to the power you give it. You can even just knock it off the tee if you do a really slow weak shot, that how accurate it is.
You can also do a short backswing and a powerful upswing, and the results are the same on the golf course. ( Good for chipping) Also, you have to watch if your wrists are twisted upon striking the ball ( Good old slicing, like real life)
The putting is very accurate as well.
The different difficulty levels can be altered, so you can restict the motion plus movements to make it easier and more like 09 if you wish.
Also, there are new online tournements, daily and weekly ones were you just have to do one course and you go onto the online leaderboard for points. ( As well as all the other online options and games )
Then you have the frisbee disc game, so the better half can have a go when she is bored watching you play golf. This game I find hard as the M+ is so accurate to your hand precision so I will have to put some practise in.
Overall a huge improvement over 09 and worth all the excellent reviews that everyone is giving it.
