About the Author
Angelika Taschen studied art history and German literature in Heidelberg, gaining her doctorate in 1986. Working for TASCHEN since 1987, she has published numerous titles on architecture, photography, design, contemporary art, interiors, and travel.

A good snapshot4
I own New York Interiors and 'New' New York Interiors, and this little booklet is by the same editor, Angelika Taschen, but contains different apartments. A nice book to flick through and some good ideas on furniture lay-out. I deducted a star because the first 50 or so pages are made up of (mostly black and white old) exterior photos of Manhattan, which I thought was a bit cheeky - I doubt that is what people buy the book for. But a nice book nevertheless - a good section at the end with detailed shots of the rooms taken from the main part of the book.

Loft apartments and grand designs4
This is a great little book which acts as a wonderful visual aid for many different levels of design. It's fantastic and inexpensive... I would recommend it to anyone.

New York Style4
Typical good value Taschen publication. Ecletctic selection of good photographs giving a great "feel" of a city which I now know very well. Having the dates of the photographs in the Photo Credits would have been useful.

Well worth its very modest price.
