Third time lucky!5
Mission Impossible was a good film in a "thriller with plot and a bit of action" kind of way.

Mission Impossible II was a roaring action-fest and, in my opinion, suffered for it. Some great elements but way too loud in almost every sense.

Mission Impossible III has got it right in every sense. A fairly simple plot (some naughty goings on at IMF), a love angle for Mr Cruise, and some great action. The film rolls along at a great pace (but without coming off the rails a la M:I 2) with never a dull moment, has a good mix of suspense, humour, action, plot and engages you all the way.

A great movie - entertaining and fun - just what your popcorn deserves!

Best of the three5
Although MI3 did not have the box office earnings that Paramount projected and was partially responsible for Tom Cruise having his ties cut from Paramount, this was by far the best of the three and is definitely a 'top drawer' action movie. Even if you didn't rate the first or second one that highly this is definitely worth a look in the action genre.

not much3
the first film was amazing, it was original, nothing like it had ever been done and so it rocked! the second was terrible and kust plain boring! this was a brilliant acttion film and thats it! a good action film but NOT a good mission impossible film! nothing in it was impossible!
