Perfect - Coated
I really like this filter, it came coated on both sides, which means that it has minimal flare when I point my lens towards bright light.
I haven't noticed any drop in sharpness of the lens, nor any difficulty in cleaning.
Very happy overall.

When you have gotta protect your lens!
When you have got to protect your lens, then this bit of kit does the job, it also doubles as a UV filter of course. Mine has lived on my Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 every-day lens since I bought it in Jan 2006.
I have also looked at using the Circular Polarising filter, as there have been times whn shooting near water or through glass when this one could be the one.
Definately worth the buy....and do it online it is so much cheaper than at Jessops!

A must for any lens that you use
This Hoya filter absorbs ultraviolet rays without effecting visible light balance. UV light causes hazing and a blue hue in outdoor photographs. The filter can also be used as a permanent lens protector for the outer part of the lens . It fits very well .
